Filched from Ayrie. ^_^

-----

Where did you begin 2008?
At home.

What was your status by Valentine's day of 2008?
Single, aware, and fine. :P

Did you have to go to the hospital?
More than the usual, but not because I was sick.

Did you have any encounters with the police?
Nope.

What did you purchase over $500?
Wala naman. I think.

Did you know anybody who got married?
No one I was really close to.

Did you know anybody who passed away?
Yes.

What sporting events did you attend?
The interclass competition for sport climbing. Courts of Law (to cheer, hehe).

What concerts/shows did you go to?
Sadly konti lang. Do I count that time Anna and I stayed at the Trinoma second level food court and listened to Colbie Caillat?

Where do you live now?
QC. Still a city girl.

Describe your birthday.
My 2008 birthday was uneventful. I was at home doing my thesis.

What's the one thing you thought you would never do but did?
Actually take a stand when I would normally be apathetic. Until now I still wonder where I found the guts to do so, haha.

Any new additions to your family?
Yes, puppies were born April 21. ^_^

What was your best month?
Because of grad, April. All things considered, July.

Made new friends?
A lot of them. Hello law school. :P

Any regrets?
Wala naman masyado.

What do you want to change in 2009?
Study habits.

Overall, how would you rate this year?
An interesting one. More of a beginning than an end.

Have any life changes in 2008?
Yes.

Get a new job?
No, unless you count law school.

How old did you turn this year?
23.

Did anything embarrassing?
Yes.

Get married or divorced?
Nope.

Be honest - did you watch American Idol?
Yes. I was a Cookie.

Start a new hobby?
Does highlighter collecting count? Hahaha.

Are you happy to see 2008 go?
'Kay lang.

Drank Starbucks in 2008?
Yes, lalo na nung planner season. Helped several people complete stickers.

Been naughty or nice?
Can't really say. Depends on whose standards kasi it's relative.

What are you wishing for in 2009?
A better year for everyone

Done something you've regretted?
Not really. I don't believe in regret. I may have bashed myself for doing a couple of things, but what's done is done.

Lost someone?
Yes.

Cut class?
Haha, the block cut would qualify here.

Was involved in something you'll never forget?
Yes.

Cooked a gross meal?
No.

Lost something important to you?
Yes.

Got a gift you adore?
Yes. ^_^

Tripped over a coffee table?
More like stubbed my toe.

Dyed your hair?
If cellophane counts, yes.

Came close to losing your life?
Not during 2008, no.

Went to a party?
Yep.

Read a great book?
Thankfully, yes.

2008: FRIENDS AND ENEMIES
Did you meet any new friends this year?
Yes.

Did you dislike anyone?
It's unavoidable to not get along well with everyone.

Did you grow apart from anyone?
Sadly, yes.

Do you have any regrets when it comes to your friendships?
Not really.

2008: YOUR BIRTHDAY
Did you have a cake?
Yes.

Did you get any presents?
I received gifts, yes.

2008: ALL ABOUT YOU
Did you change at all this year?
Had to adapt, hehe.

Did you change your style?
Not really.

Were you in school?
Yes yes yes. Still am.

Did you have a job?
Last part-time job I held was in 2007. Focused on thesis afterward.

Did you drive?
Not really. Lapit lang ng pinupuntahan ko usually sa bahay e.

Did anyone close to you give birth?
Does our family dog count?

Did you go on any vacations?
Yes.

Would you change anything about yourself now?
I'm always open to changing for the better. :P

2008: WRAP UP
Was 2008 a good year?
On the whole, yes.

Do you think 2009 will top 2008?
I shall be positive and say yes.

Haha. Blame it on giggly high school girls and extremely annoying foreign fangirls who kept shrieking and jumping up and down. -_- Seriously. No one should do that on a packed pathway unless they want to be on the evening news ("Mall balcony gives way, crushes dozens"). They were several feet away from us, but Anna and I literally felt the ground move every time they jumped. Extremely annoying. I managed to video Colbie perform Bubbly and Realize (don't expect much, though, as she was pretty far away).

Today I got the bound copies of my thesis and submitted them at DECL. Ran into Paula on the way there, and she shared my joy. Not sure if she was serious about wanting a copy of my thesis. LOL. I was too elated at finishing the whole thing that I forgot to take a picture of the pretty pretty thesis. :P Hehehe. Months of hard work took the form of a maroon hardbound thesis. But I'm proud of my thesis. I loved the books I analyzed, and the genre more so. Young adult fantasy is always fun to read. ^_^ Plus my thesis exposed me to more writers, particularly the German young adult fantasy writers.

I'm done with my thesis!

Yatta!
